Poem: Wedding Cake
If I die before I wake; make me a wedding cake.
I don't want a normal funeral; I want a celebration. Play the
sound, we shall see the King as you
march beside me. Have a beautiful tower wedding cake; because I
have went from this Earth to be among the bride of the Son.
I want flowers of spring and beautiful bouquets for all my
bridesmaids. I want them to be dressed in beautiful gowns as
they give me away in marriage to the Lord. I want an anointed
singer to sing praises to my King.
Let the spirit of the Lord come down and touch everyone in that
room. Let his praises ring as he takes me into Eternity. Let us
be joyful at the thought of meeting up again in Heaven.
Let the grooms wear tuxedos with flairs. Let them stand in a row
facing the bridesmaids. Let my pastor give me away as they ask
who gives this Lady to be with the Lord? Praise The Lord, Praise
The Lord, Praise The Lord.
No more sorrow, no pain, no worries, no complaints, no more
sickness, no more aches, just Praises to his Holy name.
Give me a wedding to send me home to my lord. Give my guests
plenty of wedding cake as they think about Heaven. Let their
mouths water at the site of that wedding cake tower; but let
their souls desire to be with the Lord.
I'm going to be with the Lord! Praise his Holy
name!!
