Poem: If You Knew

If you knew God was sending Jesus back today; what would you say? Would you have to say Lord forgive me of my sins or praise the Lord I'm ready for him. Would you run around trying to get everything in order or would you say I've been ready for a long time.

If you knew Jesus was coming today how would you tell others about it? Would they believe you because you have been a faithful servant of God or would they mock you because you are one of them?

If you knew what would you have to do? If you knew what would you say? If you knew would you still kneel and pray? If you knew would you try to take some more with you or just worry about yourself? if you knew would you fall down and cry for those lost and going to hell?

Why are we waiting till we think it is the end to ask forgiveness of our sins? Why are we waiting until we think there is no time left to want to get to know him? If you knew today was the day would you get on the rooftops and shout his name? Would you stand in the gap for everyone you could?

Why don't we live like today is the day? Why don't we imagine this could be your last breath? Why can't we go about our life like there is no tomorrow? Then God will see the saint he intended for us to be. Full of God and in full trottle for his glory and his kingdom.
